Who i am

Hi, I’m Asif, the person behind Travel Therapies.

I’m a Solo Male Travel Blogger here documenting my journey. I’ve always been drawn to the feeling of being somewhere unfamiliar — not just for the places themselves, but for what they bring out in me. Travel has a way of stripping everything back. It slows things down, shifts your perspective, and somehow makes you notice who you are when nothing feels familiar anymore.

the 9-5 traveller

I’m not quitting my job to do this. I’m not selling everything I own and moving to Bali. I work a 9-5 like most people reading this, and I’ve built a way of travelling that fits around it instead of waiting for some hypothetical future where I’ve got unlimited time and money.

That’s the whole idea behind Travel Therapies: you don’t need to blow your life up to travel well. You need to be intentional with the time you’ve actually got.

My travel philosophy

Travel doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful. I believe in:

  1. Moving slowly enough to actually feel a place
  2. Choosing experiences over checklists
  3. Finding beauty in ordinary moments
  4. Letting travel change you, not just entertain you
  5. I don’t travel to collect destinations. I travel to understand myself a little better each time.

Lets connect

If anything here resonates with you, a place, a feeling, a way of seeing the world, then you’re in the right place.

You can follow along, explore the stories, or just drop in whenever you need a bit of inspiration.

Travel always feels better when it’s shared.
